Kerrie Ferrari

Kerrie Ferrari

My main influence is nature. I love looking up close at gorgeous flora and fauna. I am also in awe of the beauty of the earth in the form of stone and rock. My work can be likened to tree bark or rock escarpments.

I create this work through a process of layering of various colours, mediums and then scratching or scraping back until I reveal the finished work. I don’t set about knowing where I am going, I trust in the process and let it guide me to the point when I know when I have arrived.

I have been working with many different mediums over the years. I exhibited my Raku pendants at the Masterworks exhibition in 2005. In 2008 I had my first solo exhibition at Evelyn County Estate. This exhibition included Raku and Semi precious jewelery, giftware and for the first time, my paintings.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed the journey of creating it.

These Bookmarks came about from my love of design. I love sourcing, collecting and putting together various stones and beads. Sometimes a stone can be in my collection for years before it finds it’s place in a piece. I read a lot and I love beautiful things so I created these bookmarks for those with a discerning eye and a passion for books.
