Marie Euripides

MariaEuripides was born in Melbourne in 1950. She spent most of herworking life in Office Administration.

Inher early thirties she took up art lessons in oil painting for a fewyears, and sold in the Moomba Art Show.

Lifegot in the way, and she stopped painting and went onto other thingsuntil her retirement 5 years ago ,when she started doing Watercolours at the Box Hill South Neighbourhood House .

Shefound it challenging, but at their annual exhibition, Maria soldquite a few of her paintings encouraging her to become more involvedwith her art.

In2017 at the Lilydale and Yarra Valley Show Maria came second in hersection and also received Highly Commended.

She recently painted around Port Fairy, on site, finding this a valuableexcercise, and has joined the BoxHill Art Society. David Taylor hasinspired her to paint with his capturing of the light. Maria loves tocreate with colour.
