Created with love, ’balagans’ are a funky mix match of materials reflecting organized chaos. The simple form and facial features of these dolls are designed to encourage children to use their imagination. Being non-gender specific ‘balagans’ can become an extension of the children’s own personalities, depending on their mood, or the scene in which they have created in their play. Each ‘balagans’ doll or ‘dog shmog’ is unique and individually numbered. They are all hand made in Melbourne by the artist, jen duband.
