JILL BARRETT - JEWELLERY DESIGNER

Jill Barrett creates unique jewellery for all occasions including weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. She brings a world of experience to the design of her pieces. Many years of travel in settings from the Sahara to the Amazon lend her work a blend of exotic and classical influences. Her horticultural training and love of gardens also inspire her designs.

She studied silversmithing at Collingwood Technical School and Morley College in London and is registered with the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silversmiths in the United Kingdom. She also studied Horticulture at Burnley Horticultural College.

She has lived, designed and sold in England and the United States of America. While living in Washington D.C., she exhibited at the Capitol Building, the National Cathedral and the World Bank.

Since returning to Australia, Jill is represented in galleries in Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin. Her work has been shown in wedding magazines and her commissions include jewellery for the television Logie Awards.

Jill has always loved working with silver, semi-precious stones, pearls and natural materials.
