Di Colk
Melbourne artist, Di Colk has taught life drawing for many years, and has worked as an art teacher, painter and printmaker. Her experiences with sailing led to a series of paintings based on sail boats and views of Port Phillip Bay and the Derwent Estuary in Tasmania. Most recently Di has been working on a series of figure
paintings and portraits, and this year she submitted an entry for the 2006 Archibald Prize.
Her painting style shows influences ranging from the Post-Impressionists and Fauves to Lucien Freud.
