Helen Goodear has been painting and exhibiting for over sixteen years.
Born in Far Northern New South Wales, she studied in Sydney and in Brisbane, gaining a Diploma of Teaching, with a major in expressive and performing arts.
There followed several influential years of travel throughout Australia, Asia and Europe, living and working in London and Auckland before settling in Melbourne.
Helen has done further study in a Diploma of Visual Arts and has recently returned to teaching primary school art.
With a background in drawing, watercolour and oil painting, Helen now enjoys using a wide range of media. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, she has been printmaking with linocut, woodblock and copper etching.
