Born in Melbourne, Kim Kennedy's artistic career as a contemporary artist began in 1982. Initially Kim's art took form in metal sculptures and culminated with a commission by the Australian Tourism Association. The sculpture stands 7 metres tall and is on permanent display at the Association's Canberra Office.
After the success of his sculptures Kim began painting with oil on canvas and discovered his true passion. Painting is now Kim's primary focus. October 2000 saw the creation of a gallery of Kim's work at Bentley Manhattan, New York.
Between 1986 and 2013 Kim has exhibited at galleries and expos in the United States - Los Angeles, California, Utah and New York; in Frankfurt, Germany; and in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
