About Liam Waldie

Liam is passionate about our environment and sustainable ways of living and aims to reflect this through his portrayal of nature. Through movement and flowing composition his use of organic line, pattern, shape and expressive colour, he captures his subject and his experience whilst in nature.  Liam explores the relationship and interconnectedness we as humans share with our environment. His current body of work focuses on contemporary landscapes in oil capturing the beautifully harsh and remote surroundings of the Victorian coastline and of his travels interstate and overseas.

Liam has exhibited in group shows across the country, and is in private collections throughout Australia and overseas. He studied a BA Visual Arts at the Queensland College of Art and taught as a high school Visual Arts teacher for 12 years.
