Mitch Vane has illustrated children's books for many years, with many different publishers in Australia and the U.S. She often collaborates with her partner Danny Katz who is a writer, and together they have created The Yabba Award winning Little lunch series, and the recently released No Thanks Hanks and other Un-mannerly Tales. She is at her happiest with a good old-fashioned dip pen and Indian ink and her scratchy cartoons appeared with Katz's weekly column in The Age for eleven years. She has also recently illustrated a series of 12 Zodiac stamps for Australia Post.

Mitch also loves painting, and is currently exploring the themes of childhood memories and female alter egos, using wood, paper canvas and any medium she can lay her hands on. You can see more of her work at www.mitchvane.com
