Nikki PerzuckNikki Perzuck is a Melbourne based artist who believes the purpose of her painting is to uplift the spirit. Nikki graduated from a Bachelor of arts in Graphic Design in 1992 and has since had quite a diverse career in design. Ranging from designer/art director for textile companies to colour trends forecast designer for interiors. In recent years, Nikki has shifted her focus back to her true love of painting. Nikki's paintings take us on a journey where the viewer is invited to explore a dynamic culmination of vibrant colour, form and adventure. A major influence for Nikki has been her extensive travels to Asia and Europe where she lived and worked in Paris and escaped to the south of France during the festive seasons. Nikki has incorporated the spirit of the places she has traveled to and her signature houses feature throughout her works. “There is something exciting and mysterious about houses as each one can tell a story and at the same time have plain or decorative elements of intrigue to them.” Even a trip to the strawberry farm with her daughters Tahlia & Jade is inspiring to her with the wonderful twist and turns in the pathways and ever inspiring landscapes and coastal views. Nikki's works are a celebration of the simple things in life and she captures them with vibrant colour mixes, layered imagery effects and exciting movement. The viewer is immersed in this mysterious journey and can follow the pathways or just enjoy discovering hidden elements. Nikki exhibits her works through Manyung Gallery/Glenferrie Road Contemporary Art, Gallery Sorrento & Beechworth Fine Art. Nikki's works have been published in the 2009 Canterbury Art Exhibition calender and she has been proudly selected as a feature artist for the 2010 Canterbury Art Exhibition. Nikki's works are held in private collections in Chicago, London, Singapore and Paris. For more on Nikki Perzuck see www.nikkiperzuck.viewbook.com |
