About Barbara Davison
Barbara Davison took up watercolour painting in 1988. She has studied under Antionette Prince in Boston, Stephen Leadbetter at the CAE in Melbourne, Noel Ford at the Canberra School of Art and most recently Louise Foletta in Melbourne. She is a member of the Watercolour Society of Victoria. She took up chalk pastel painting in 1995. She paints mainly still life, flowers, seascapes and landscapes. Her watercolour style is eclectic and she draws her inspiration from Turner, Blamire Young, Georgia O'Keefe, John Blockley and Gary Bukovnik. Her pastels are influenced by the impressionists and photo realists.
