About Ben Musgrove
I have recently returned to painting to explore making art that reflects nature and the elements. I consider myself as an abstract impressionist and paint in either acrylic or oil onto canvas.  I like to explore the ever changing relationships of light onto the landscape, the sea and sky. I grew up on a farm in the Yarra Valley which created my appreciation for seasonal change onto the landscape and combined with a passion for the sea and sailing I enjoy interpreting the the elements of the day. I studied practical art at school and University which exposed me to the history of art and all the great artists that inspire us. At the moment I am enjoying entering art shows like Canterbury to help me produce more work. In the last six months I have exhibited in the traditional Rotary shows of Melbourne such as Camberwell, Mornington, Flemington, Sorrento, Bayside, Albert Park and Whitehorse.
