About Christine Harrison

Christine is a divinely passionate artist. Her work is inspired largely by the natural beauty of the Mornington Peninsula. Much of her body of work focuses on its local beaches which she paints with vivid accuracy.

Christine has also ventured into the Outback on an extended safari with her husband and three children to return with a series of paintings from Uluru and the Olgas to the Bungle Bungles and beyond.

Christine has a deep calling to express herself creatively and hopes her work inspires others. Her paintings often cover more than one canvas. She finds this approach necessary when attempting to convey the vast expanse of the Australian landscape.

Christine was born in Melbourne in 1963. Her love of natural surroundings started early, in fact from the time she could pick up a pencil she was sketching and drawing. Her artistic passion was lovingly nurtured through childhood.

Later in life, she gravitated toward graphic design. Christine received her degree in Graphic Design at Chisholm Institute of Technology, Caulfield. Since that time she has worked in various realms - as a studio artist in advertising; in graphic design studios and as an illustrator of children's books for several publishing companies.

Christine's work has featured in numerous local exhibitions since 1999. This is particularly impressive as she is relatively new to the painterly world.
