About Donald Cameron

Donald Cameron describes his style as tonal realist/impressionist. His career spans fifty years and boasts a distinguished array of awards and prizes.

Donald has painted numerous portraits including those of Major-General Sir Alan Ramsay, Frank Menzies, Weary Dunlop, Sir Angus Mitchell and Ngarla Kunoth. He has exhibited at the annual Archibald Prize Exhibition in Sydney. On two occassions his exhibits were selected to tour Australian capital cities as part of a representative Archibald collection. Donald has conducted exhibitions for a number of years of his own work in oils and watercolours and has a studio/gallery at his home in Kew.

Donald is the author of "Art is adventure" and "Black, white and grey...with colour added".

In 1990 he was awarded the prize for Best Pair at the Kew Rotary Art Show. In 1995 his watercolour entry was awarded First Prize at the Bright Art Show.
