JAYNE HIGGINS I love the mood and exhilaration of vast uninhabited landscape.My travels to magnificent wilderness areas in Australia and New Zealand have inspirited my work. In my interpretation of these landscapes I aim to depict a fusion of place that is awesome and encompassing all at once. I manipulate the view to enhance the expressive use of texture, tone and form. Colour, surface quality and composition all evolve simultaneously as integral aspects of the subject. The immediacy of working in acrylic paint allows for an energetic building of atmospheric and monumental forms.
