About Kath McCann

I have painted in watercolour for 20 years and love working in a loose, fresh a la prima style. I am exploring acrylics and inks for a different exploration of textured mark. Influences are Australian impressionists like Clarice Becket. I teach watercolour at Camberwell Community Centre and have done so for four years. Brighton Art Society awarded me First Prize in watercolour and Agra galleries awarded me  Third Prize in Autumn Exhibition 2019 as well as Highly Commended and Commended in the four seasonal exhibitions in 2019.  I was recently admitted to the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors and am a Signatory Member of Australian Guild of Realist Artists. Works on display at Agra galleries in Camberwell, the Camberwell Rotary Art show in July and Agra Selected exhibition of Australian Art Excellence Award in November 2020.
