About Kim Kennedy

Born in Melbourne, Kim Kennedy's artistic career as a contemporary artist began in 1982. Initially Kim's art took form in metal sculptures and culminated with a commission by the Australian Tourism Association. The sculpture stands 7 metres tall and is on permanent display at the Association's Canberra Office.

After the success of his sculptures Kim began painting with oil on canvas and discovered his true passion. Painting is now Kim's primary focus. October 2000 saw the creation of a gallery of Kim's work at Bentley Manhattan, New York.

Between 1986 and 2020 Kim has exhibited at galleries and expos in the United States - Los Angeles, California, Utah and New York; in Frankfurt, Germany; and in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Kim has also exhibited extensively in both Melbourne and Sydney, winning awards at Melbourne Art Fair, St Kevin's Art Show,  RSPCA Art Show and Strathcona Art Show to name a few.

Kim is actively involved in fundraising, supporting Kids with Cancer (auction item painted on the night of the fundraiser sold for $6000), the Royal Children's Hospital (auction item painted on the fundraiser night sold for $10000), Ronald McDonald House Charities (Silver Sponsor), and the Starlight Foundation (New York and Melbourne).

Kim's art is included in private collections throughout the world, including Australia, South Africa, Ireland, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Germany and New Zealand.
