About Margaret Kettels
BIOGRAPHY of MARGARET KETTELS
Born in Morwell, Latrobe Valley Victoria. Studied under Warrandyte artist David Moore at Montsalvat for four years, then six years with Ron Reynolds studying a more modern approach. Teacher of painting at a Community Centre for 18 years’ her style is Her own colourful and expressive, but often likened to the “Fauves”’ German Expressionism, Van Gogh or sometimes Margaret Preston.
Recent Awards have been First Prize Bayswater Rotary 2005 and City of Whitehorse Mayors Award 2005 & 2006.
Currently will be exhibiting locally and in July at Glen Eira Gallery Caulfield. In September exhibiting with Contemporary Women Painters at Box Hill Community Art Centre.
