Meredith Thomas

Meredith Thomas is a Canterbury- born artist who has been illustrating childrens' books for over 20 years.She has had numerous painting and paper-sculpture exhibitions, and her works have been aquired by both Australian and overseas collections. Meredith's style ranges from the extreme delicacy of shades of white paper, to the vigorous bold brushstrokes and vivid colour which characterize her paintings. Regardless of medium ,all works are underpinned by strong drawing, sound draughtsmanship and careful observation. Meredith is currently teaching drawing at Swinburne university, and working on two books. She is in residence at the Hunt Club Community Arts Centre.
