About Mitch Vane
Mitch Vane is a painter and illustrator who loves to explore the quirky and humorous side of human nature. She has illustrated many children's books over the years for publishers both in Australia and the U.S. and often collaborates with her partner Danny Katz. Together they have created the YABBA award winning Little Lunch series, No Thanks Hanks, and the soon to be released Book about Scary ( Five Mile Press )
Mitch often uses a good old-fashioned dip pen and Indian Ink and her scratchy cartoons appeared with Katz's humour column in The Age for twelve years. She also loves painting and is currently exploring the themes of childhood memories, female alter egos and unlikely friendships using recycled wood, canvas, paper, and any medium she can lay her hands on.
