About Narelle Callen

My name is Narelle Callen.  I am a full time artist.  I live on the Mornington Peninsula inVictoria.

After 17 years in a corporate projectmanagement role, I have returned to my true passion – art.   Art has always been part of my life and theway I grew up – so being an artist means I get to do what I love every day.

My style is described as semi abstract witha modern impressionist twist.  I tend touse Australian colours that reflect the water, sand, life.  I like light in my paintings and use this as a focal point.  Subjects include influences frommy own life and the environment that surrounds me.  This year you can see deep sea colours, the movement and shapes of swathes of land, distant horizons.  My work expresses movement, freedom, space in the colours, brushstrokes and the textures of my paintings.

My work is displayed on my website and commissionsare very welcome.
