Natalie Lawson

I am an emerging artist based in Melbourne using mixed media and photography.  My work mainly investigates translucency and light, fluctuating betweenthe figurative and abstract.  I amcurrently working with latex, challenging its boundaries through innovativeprocesses of application and documentation.  Over time the latex will disintegrate which allows for theworks to transform, opening up new possibilities for interpretation.  Major influences for my work are Eva Hesse and Louise bourgeois.  "In the Pink" at Montsalvat in the Long Gallery from 2 - 27th May is my next group exhibition with Thou Art Mum.
