About Richard Allen
I have been a member of Malvern Artists' Society for 20 years, having exhibited and sold my work there. I have also entered and sold my work at St Kevin's College Annual Art Show.
I have attended workshops by Melbourne's top watercolourists and have had 18 months tuition from both Alvaro Castagnet and Greg Allen.
My style is regular realist having accuracy of depiction tinged with a suggestion of flair where applicable, coupled with faultless composition.
To dramatise a focal point I use high contrast where possible.
