About Sally Mumford

Born and raised in the African bush, huge skies and vibrant colours are Sally’s inspiration. Influenced by many visits to Europe and around the world have resulted in her painting in a very individual style which depicts her ability to mix a certain mysticism with recognizable landscapes.

The discipline and devotion to her art is evident in her ability to express her talent using a variety of different artistic techniques.

She loves the Natural World. The rich, red sand of the outback, the azure blues of the ocean, the colours of a sunrise and sunset. These are what inspire her to paint. Her style? Expressionism - realism to abstract. She uses Mixed Media or heavily textured and layered oils to create original artworks that express what she sees and feels. She hopes to communicate a Place, a Time, a Memory.

Sally has enjoyed one success after another since she arrived in Australia this includes being a finalist in a number of National Art Prizes.

Her goal is to achieve a greater understanding of herself and become a recognized artist.
