About Stephen Glover
My paintings and drawings are not dealing with interpretations
of the visible world in a literal sense, but rather, are about the
relationship between logic and emotion. There are symbolic
representations of both embedded within. These are expressed as an
intersection between geometry and gesture.
This point of intersection is an ever changing place and has
something to do with being rational. We are both rational and
irrational. There are times when structure and order tend to
dominate and other times when emotion rules. This is a
response to the process of living each day.
