About Wendy Heath
Wendy Heath is a painter working in the Melbourne suburb of Montrose.
She has an honours Degree in Fine Art from R.M.I.T., completing the course in 1989. She has gained many awards in art shows across the state and has work in private collections locally, interstate and overseas.
Wendy's work deals with the ordinary things in life, spiced up with the sensation of colour and humour.
From the chaos of "womens work" in past works to the complusions, obsessions and the fulfillment of the self in more recent work. This group of paintings make a statement on the way she would like life to be. They highlight the release found in song, music and drama, along with the freedom of painting to express this often unconsciously, always indulgently.
