About Janice McBride
Contemporary painter and print maker, exhibits regularly in Australia and the U.K Janice shows at the Panoply Galley and the Bassett gallery, Melbourne and had an exhibition in Sydney in July 2014 at Art2Muse Double Bay (an exhibition of paintings, prints and drawings in London in 2012). Janice has many paintings and prints in the corporate market and in private collections both in Australia and overseas, and has had work acquired by the National Gallery of Australia. and National gallery of Victoria.
A career involving a wide range of art practice, including artist-in-residence, many years of designing and producing sets and props for the Gardner Puppets and Polyglot Puppet theaters, has designed for stage and television. A lecturer for ten years at RMIT University has also tutored at TAFE colleges and the Council of Adult Education and is currently tutoring for the Hawthorn Artists’ Society. Janice also plays double bass with the ’Celtica’ Irish band and the ‘Free Selectors’ bush band.
