  1. New Artists

    1. How can I have my works exhibited?

      Only invited artists will be exhibited. Artists are selected by the Exhibition Committee. New artists may submit a sample of their work for review by January 15th each year. Please contact the Artist's Liaison Convenor to make your submission.

    2. I am a school parent. Can I bypass the selection process?

      No. You must submit a sample of your work for review by January 15th.

    3. I am a school staff member. Can I bypass the selection process?

      No. You must submit a sample of your work for review by January 15th.

    4. I am an art committee member. Can my friend bypass the selection process?

      No. Your friend must submit a sample for review by January 15th.

    5. Is there any way to bypass the selection process?

      No. All new artists must provide samples of their work for review by January 15th.

  2. Canterbury Art Exhibition Committee

    1. What is the Canterbury Art Exhibition Committee?

      The committee comprises a number of volunteers from the Canterbury Primary School community. The art exhibition committee is a sub-committee of the Canterbury Primary School Council. Committee members are responsible for running the exhibition.

    2. Who can join?

      Any Canterbury Primary School parent or staff member may volunteer.

  3. GST Issues

    1. How is GST treated by the exhibition?

      The exhibition is input taxed.

    2. Does the price include GST?

      No

    3. If an artist is GST registered does it change how the commission is calculated?

      No

    4. Does the exhibition issue tax invoices?

      No

    5. Has the exhibition changed how it treats GST?

      Yes. In 2014 it changed to the input taxed approach.
